We strive to align our garments sizing with all other similar products. For example, whatever size underwear you normally wear, we would recommend you buy the same size in our period underwear. If you are unsure what size you (or your child) are, we recommend you measure around your waist (smallest part, usually at the belly button) and around hips (largest part) and use those measurements (in cms) to compare to our size guide.

FIRST by Love Luna Size Guide (Junior Sizes)

For example, if your child’s waist is 60cm, they would roughly fit into the FIRST Australian size 8-10, UK size 10-11, USA size 8.

If the child is larger than size AUS size 14-16, we recommend going into our women’s range.
The next size up from AUS Youth 14-16 would be the Women’s AUS size 10-12.

For those heavier days, Love Luna Super Period Shorts feature and extra layer of padding along with our trusty waterproof layer. That's 5 clever layers to lock everything away and keep you dry, comfy and confident all day long.
Our period short is a great on trend shape, perfect for complete comfort and coverage and suitable for every body type! With an extended internal gusset panel, these are ideal for wearing at night to give you that extra piece of mind while you sleep.
Made from organic cotton, our period briefs are taking a more environmental approach which is so much nicer for both you and our planet. Fun fact, it’s even more durable than regular cotton! Our breathable organic cotton feels amazing next to your skin. As well as keeping the planet safe from pesky disposables, we like to keep you safe too! That’s why our Love Luna Period products are PFAS free.

Designed to absorbs approximately 40ml (5-6 regular tampons).
Wear them on their own or as a backup - only you know your flow.

Care Instructions

It's washable, reusable & easy to care for. Rinse your Luna briefs and reusable pads with cold water as soon as you can after removal until the water starts to run clear. Pop them in a Luna Washbag with the rest of your washing and wash with like colours on a cold water cycle (max 30 degrees).

Wash before wear. Cold delicate machine wash with like colours. Do not add softener. Do not soak. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Line dry.

Yes! You can wash with other clothes, just make sure you've rinsed until the water runs clear then we recommend you pop your briefs into a delicates washbag.

Yes, never tumble dry as it could affect the leak-proof technology. Plus did you know the sun is good for your luna briefs?

If you follow all care instructions, during and after you use them, they will last for approximately 50 washes. We recommend 7 to 10 briefs to cover your full cycle, check out our bundles.

Very short in the back!

These period shorts were very short in the back, I had to check if I had them on backwards but nope. My buttcrack was poking out the top. They felt nice and firm all over and felt like good coverage over the front, but the low bum means they will not become my “comfy period undies” unfortunately.

Very short in the back!

How would you describe the fit? :

True to size but poor design

The back of short sit shorter (near the butt crack) than the front of the short (near belly button) making them feel quite uncomfortable at the back.
Absorbency could be improved - my period is not massively heavy, however found the a still bled out the sides of the shorts near the thighs as nothing to keep it locked in.
With this being said, I love the very high gusset at the front and hope I can find this in the normal period undies or this will be considered in the future.

True to size but poor design

Size up!!

Wish I’d read another review here before purchasing. As per the Luxe style, even thought the measurements are the same as midi brief styles (that fit me perfectly) these are way too small. Very disappointing. Color and fabric are great!
