What Are The Different Types of Love Luna Period Underwear?

Our period underwear comes with a minimum of four layers of protection:

What Absorbency Option Should I Choose?
Our period undies are available in three different absorbency levels. Depending on your flow, you can choose between our Medium, Medium+, and Super options. For those with a heavy flow, our Super Briefs holds up to 5-6 regular tampons, designed with an extra layer of padding so you stay comfortable and dry all day long. Also, our LBL briefs, despite being designed for incontinence, can be used for those heavy flow days, featuring the same five layers of protection.

Medium
Medium absorbs 10-15 ml of menstrual flow. That usually means 2-3 tampons. This 4 layer period underwear is ideal for light to medium flows.
Medium +
Medium+ absorbs 15-20 ml of menstrual flow. That usually means 3-4 regular tampons. This option is ideal for medium flows.
Super
Super absorbs 40 ml of menstrual flow. That usually means 5-6 regular tampons. This 6 layer option is ideal for heavy flows and overnight wear.
LBL
Our Light Bladder Leaks (LBL) options come with a bamboo, quick dry antibacterial and anti odour layer. This is ideal for those of you experiencing incontinence and need some extra protection through every cough, laugh, sneeze and lift. With urine moving faster than blood, our incontinence range features patented sealed seams to ensure zero leaks.
Teens
Our teen period underwear offers the same four-layer protection for First Time Flow-Getters with up to 20 ml of absorbency.
Can Period Underwear Be Worn for Swimming?
While our period underwear is great for daily use, we do not recommend wearing it while swimming. Only as it might be uncomfortable to wear during your swim as they are not designed to be submerged in water for longer periods. However, our Period Swimwear is designed to protect you from sneaky leaks in and out of the water.

All our period swimwear is designed for medium flow coverage and can absorb 10-15 ml (2-3 regular tampons). Inside the gusset, four clever layers work together to keep you protected: the inner layers wick moisture away and lock in your period, while the outer layer actively repels water so your flow stays in, and the pool or ocean water stays out. How Do You Wash Seamfree Period Briefs
After wearing your period briefs, rinse them under cold water as soon as possible until the water runs clear. No need to soak, just gently squeeze out any excess. Then place them in a Luna Washbag to protect them during the wash. Toss them in with like colours on a cold water cycle (maximum 30°C), and be sure to skip the fabric softener and bleach. Once wash cycle is complete, hang to dry in the sun and avoid the dryer at all costs.
